The Pennsylvania Firebacks Large Panel Fireback adds a simple elegance to your fireplace. Indicative of the decorative arts created during the Georgian Period, this simplistic design is perfect for any home. This effortless fireback is sure to compliment any decor. Firebacks are shipped with a water base black paint to prevent rust build up during transit. To give a brighter finish to the fireback and to protect the casting from rust after use with a fire, an application of water base graphite stove polish is recommended. Applied with a toothbrush or rag, this paste, when dry, can be polished with a wire brush or rag giving the fireback an attractive silverfish sheen. The Pennsylvania Firebacks Large Panel Fireback is constructed of cast iron and is meant to be placed behind your fire. Reclaiming heat that youd otherwise lose, this fireback will absorb heat during burning and then radiate it into the room. Even after the fire is out, heat will continue to move throughout the room making it a very efficient addition to your home!
