With a unique shape the Heritage Rectangular Hearth Pad - Kassel Rock is more than just an accessory to a new or remodeled stove installation - it adds beauty and a peace of mind for you and your family. This hearth pad is manufactured by skilled craftsman in America using the finest quality materials. This hearth pad can be used with solid fuel burning stoves - wood, pellet or coal. This Heritage Hearth Pad is tested to meet and exceed UL standards for ember and thermal protection. PASTE All of the hearth pads have a standard ember protection (Type I) with an R-Value of .84. You can upgrade to a thermal protection (Type II), which has an R-Value of 1.40 -- the highest in the industry. A Type II is used if it is required by the stove manufacturer or local codes.PASTE Each hearth pad is individually crafted with non-combustible materials with a steel frame and 6 inch border. The rectangular shape is very unique and the pattern of the tile may vary with the size. Each hearth pad is laid by hand with individually cut tiles or slate.
