The wood framed upholstered daybed was inspired by the classic style of vintage Parisian furniture. Each part of this hand built daybed is crafted with molded trim along the frame and a chic washed finish. Why I Built this Project I have quite a bit of holiday decor but not a lot of places to display it. This allows me to put it all in one place! I love the look of this Free Standing Christmas Tree Shelf and how low profile it is. It has a small footprint for homes or apartments that may not have a lot of space for a regular tree. Why I Built this Project Every Christmas, the children and I spend hours hand-making cookies. We love the time we spend together! Why I Built this Project I wanted to create easy Christmas tree decor with scrap lumber that I had on hand. Cedar fence pickets are only a few dollars if you dont have any scrap pieces laying around. I also had some scrap 1x3 pieces on hand, but you could also rip the fence pickets to get the back and bottom attached.
