Detail
The Damasco Spotlight adds a sense of focus to the room through its directed light and repeating surface texture made using traditional glassmaking techniques. Designer Paolo Crepax brings a passion for glass, one informed by his time growing up in the Murano glass kilns. Crepax keeps the hardware minimal to accentuate the work of the glass artists. The cylindrical canopy proves ideal for rooms with short ceilings thanks to its low-profile and compact design. The glass shade below is made using a bozzolo technique requiring artisans to wrap molten ribbons around a depth-filled form. The ribbons create a series of rings that translate to dazzling highlights when turned on. The light funnels through the opening as accenting down glow. Shape: Drum. Color: Clear. Finish: Satin Nickel.
