Detail
Designed by Italian icon Angelo Mangiarotti, the Minigiogali AP Wall Sconce from Vistosi drapes over your wall an intricate collection of sculpted glass forms, kissed with rich light. This 1967 piece resonates today because of its celebration of craft. The iconic architect and designer Angelo Mangiarotti approached his work as an exploration of materials and cutting-edge production processes. The creator worked with his hands and created a visual language built on flowy hook shapes. Glass artists recreate Mangiarotti’s original shape by sculpting pieces of Murano glass ribbons. The hooks dazzle as they taper down from a rounded frame in a tight, connected composition. The curves of the hooks gently conceal the light source and mellow the brilliant light coming through for a pleasant aura. Light paints the back wall to enhance the detail-rich hooking silhouette. Shape: Abstract. Color: Silver. Finish: Crystal Silver with Glossy Chrome.
