Translating to “3 sticks” in Venetian dialect, the Trepai Floor Lamp from Vistosi arranges its familiar materials in a tidy composition for great aesthetic versatility. The floor lamp’s graphic silhouette reflects studio Favaretto & Partners’ precision-based approach to design, one centered on rigor and passion for investigation. The studio draws inspiration from the simple, balanced, and finely crafted works of Japanese furnishings. This inspiration shows in the Zen-like arrangement of wood segments for the base. The warm, texture-rich segments flatten in a stack for an easy carrying piece. The mouth-blown glass shade features a classic drum form that contrasts against the angular tripod base below.
