A beautiful and mysterious form, inspired by those in the deep sea. The Assiba SP G Pendant from Vistosi gives the room a floating functional sculpture, crafted behind a centuries-old Venetian glassmaking tradition. The pendant’s clean design reflects designer Maura Olvieiri’s process of removing to achieve an essential form. The cylinder is used to suggest ocean life. Venetian glass blowers give the cylindrical shade a lively note with a subtle curve to one side. The glass artists treat the shade’s surface to an elegant diamond pattern that plays with natural and internally produced light.
