The Press LED Cone Pendant from Tom Dixon captures one’s imagination with a beaming form crafted using the clearest and hardest glass. Tom Dixon’s design approach is centered on expressive minimalism. His pieces hope to illustrate the simple yet unseen. This idea of the unseen shows in the pendant’s clear surfaces from top to bottom. The cone silhouette of the pendant reveals itself thanks to a series of flowing layers. This effect is created by dropping a big glob of molten glass into a cast. The great reflective quality of the glass amplifies the brilliance of the LEDs inside while diffusing its light.
