The DU55 Armchair from Poltrona Frau is the height of contemporary artistry. Designed by Gastone Rinaldi in 1954, this piece is recognized by its amorphous silhouette. The seatback is neither round nor square, which makes it distinctive. This armchair is an experiment that examines the relationships between a solid material and the void of empty spaces. Sinuous arms connect with the seat and leave open space in the back, which produces a breathtaking, floating effect.
