Unleash all the charm and vintage promise of the early 20th century with the luxurious vintage lines of the 1919 Upholstered Armchair with Cup Holder. A modern redesign of the antique classic created by Renzo Frau in 1919, it is believed to have been crafted for the Duke of Pistoia, Filiberto Ludovico of Savoy, and became the company’s flagship. A seat so instantly appealing it took the public by storm, it puts a new spin on the bergère design, becoming such a classic it has been archived under a specific code. This new seat rests on four legs of strong, seasoned beech wood, while each chair features a metal number plate that proves its individual construction, standing proud from the rich leather upholstery and coordinating well with a small metal arm and pivoting tray that can hold small accessories escorting an artfully-pleated armrest. A signature capitonné style of inset buttons adds texture to the back, and the seat is both steel-sprung and padded with goose down, offering bespoke comfort with an enduring old-world charm. Color: Red. Additional Color: SC127 Siam.
