Detail
Marcel Gascoin conceived of the Gascoin C-Chair Dining Chair in post-war France, 1947. C-Chair came to be known as one of Gascoin’s most prolific designs, embodying not only the designer’s impactful practical aesthetic, but his clear social conscience during these years. Changing home sizes at the end of World War II necessitated a new furniture footprint and a simple, functional shape. C-Chair speaks to a sense of minimalism while displaying contrasting details of gentle cane, hand woven paper-cord, or veneer seats with solid, sculptural legs. The C-Chair explores craft, material, and utilization of space with an inviting sensibility. Color: Brown. Finish: American Walnut Oiled.
