Designed as a tribute to the late Karl Storms, the Karl Cabinet from Global Views visualizes the revered man’s hard exterior and soft, true nature. Simple is a key aspect of Storm’s character, and one shared in this minimalist piece. Clean perpendicular angles loom over the piece, creating the legs and tabletop in one seamless form. Its cast resin doors are made to evoke the ruggedness of pleated steel; they mesmerize in their deep contouring. Showcasing that there’s more than meets the eyes, the doors open to reveal a warmth-filled walnut interior.
