In the Alfi Stool High Back with Alfi Soft Slip Cover from Emeco, designer Jasper Morisson seeks to show that what’s not seen is as important as what is seen. Morrison’s “super normal” approach to design strips away clutter, leaving you with a piece that’s clear in what does and how it does it. In this stool, Morrison boils down the traditionally ornamented woven cane seat and backrests of brasserie chairs into a single shaped seat defined by clean curves and a tall back. While comfortable on its own, the sustainably crafted seat gets a cozy and tailored upgrade with the included slipcover. This cover is retrofittable and removable, giving you a naturally upholstered look whenever required. A reclaimed wood base lifts your seat in a solid, graphic construction.
