Elegant and expressive, the Fly LED Pendant by Contardi Lighting appears to lift off when lit, giving an airy, abstract enhancement to large ceiling spaces. This cutting-edge design from the mind of Massimiliano Raggi was crafted as a part of his fond friendship with Contardi and is a strong statement piece that draws light across its surroundings with the precision of a precise pencil line placed across a pale sheet of paper. Fly adds impact by subtracting frills and foibles: it starts simply with a small canopy, and a series of anchor points transmit slender cables down to slim, rectangular metal light housings holding powerful and energy-friendly LED lamping that blazes out below. This expressive, luminous display causes each reflective housing to vanish when the light inside ignites, leaving only the pure illumination and focused lines that add encompassing ambiance while reflecting radiance off the lower housings.
