Designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen, the VLA77 Upholstered Foyer Sofa from Carl Hansen is a quiet yet comfortable personality in an open space, designed in 1945 for the broadcasting center Radiohuset in Copenhagen. Father of Danish modernism Vilhelm Lauritzens approach centered on form follows function. His work stands the test of time through its ultra-refined and practical quality. This sofa shows this usability-first approach with a seamless wood structure that makes the legs and armrests one piece. The quality of the wood is on clear display with this contoured structure. Inside lays soft flat panels of upholstered cushioning. The panels give one a pleasant lean, cozy touch and a charming look with a series of button tufts. Color: Oak. Finish: Soaped Oak.
