A carefully planned salute to the vibrant nature of improvised structures, showing that beauty can be found in any environment, the Shanty Sideboard B from BD Barcelona was engineered to be both playful and practical. Designed by Doshi Levien, the artistic duo formed by Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien, the cabinet rests upon faceted cylindrical legs fashioned from robust aluminum, which beautifully contrast with the linear waveforms of the cabinet’s face. The curving waveforms suggest the structural material of corrugated steel, creating a textured appearance and forming distinctly opening door faces. The cabinet is a robust construction of iron, aluminum, MDF, and fine glass, providing plenty of storage space while bringing a distinct and sculptural character to its environment. Color: Grey.
