The Multileg Cabinet 2 from BD Barcelona provides an engaging, playful accompaniment to home décor and storage needs. Designed by Jamie Hayon and developed in only a few weeks for the 2006 Milano Furniture Fair as part of the Showtime Collection, its complete success and stunning surfaces keep it vibrant and vital for years to come. The single split-leg base below the cabinet is nicely contrasted by spiral legs for an offset, jubilant character, while the cabinet’s geometrically shaped face features clean lines for a grid-like appearance. Its top is composed of painted glass, with solid alder wood and MDF comprising the rest; its structural elements contrast organic irregularity with an orderly upper housing, calling attention to Spanish design and clever craft.
