The Grace Table Lamp from Barovier & Toso is a shimmering, marvelous figure featuring a blend of glassmaking techniques referencing traditional Murano chandelier diffusers. Designer Philippe Nigro works with Barovier & Toso’s master glass artists to realize a Franco-Italian style based on the decorative arts. Standing atop an elegant metal base, the varied shapes above impress like a sculpture. The piece’s body sees artisans combine 2 layers of glass in a smooth, tapered form covered in delightful bubbles. Made with antique tools in a ‘rostrato’ technique, the diffuser above presents fascinating highlights in its texture-rich form. The surrounding tapered shade adds a graceful, familiar silhouette.
