The Flambeau Wall Candle Holder from Audo Copenhagen, formerly known as Menu, is a spirited piece, amplifying the flame in shape and warmth. Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen designed the piece with the French modernist lamping in mind. Their work zeroes in on the properties of steel and brass materials and their construction. The holder starts out with a hidden mounting plate that one can easily arrange in tight spaces. A slender arm comes forward to hold the wax candle as a refined gesture. The flickering flame on the candle reiterates its outline with this holder’s abstract backplate. The rounded backplate uses its sweeping surface to receive the golden hue of one’s moody candle.
