The Model 1081 110v Floor Lamp from Astep is a delectable, daring offering rich with contemporary simplicity and able to dispense a warm and even ambiance. Designed by the redoubtable Gino Sarfatti, it is one of his most memorable expressions of luminous spheres, updating a retro design to something a touch more modern with something to say. At once elegant and luxurious, it is controlled by a floor switch and rises from a circular steel base via a slim stem, blooming the subtle warmth of an opaline glass diffuser around inner lamping and delivering a rich, even warmth that extends in all directions, the shade itself appearing to hover when lit.
