The Alessi Alba Truffle Slicer is a sculptural form with a practical use. Extensive research has gone into the design and shape of this kitchen tool, so much that there is specific 18 degree angle between the handle and blade. A piece created through collaboration with the International White Truffle Fair of Alba (hence the name), the slicing of truffles has been proven difficult because of their unique shapes and sizes. This slicer has a futuristic form inspired by the twisted and intertwined roots where the truffles grow. A perfect blend of ergonomics and function.
