The general shape of the Alessi Pulcina Stovetop Espresso suggests the baby animal after it is named: chick. (Even the spout recalls a beak.) In addition to providing a particularly interesting aesthetic, the unique stepped surface of the cast aluminum vessel is also highly functional; it helps to regulate the heating and cooling of its contents.
