Why I Built this Project I have quite a bit of holiday decor but not a lot of places to display it. This allows me to put it all in one place! I love the look of this Free Standing Christmas Tree Shelf and how low profile it is. It has a small footprint for homes or apartments that may not have a lot of space for a regular tree. Why I Built this Project I wanted to create easy Christmas tree decor with scrap lumber that I had on hand. Cedar fence pickets are only a few dollars if you dont have any scrap pieces laying around. I also had some scrap 1x3 pieces on hand, but you could also rip the fence pickets to get the back and bottom attached.
